The district tournament is for varsity and 1st JV wrestlers. This will be on Thursday 4/2 and Friday 4/3 at Union High School.

2:30 Athletes will be dropped off at Union HS

Friday (4/3):

Weigh-ins are not required at the middle school level for the second day*

Awards ceremony (if you placed, stay until the end to receive your award. We will not get it for you)

The final round (championships) will be wrestled on 2 mats. No spotlight this year.

Both the weigh-ins (Thursday) and skin checks (Thursday & Friday) are 100% mandatory for all wrestlers. If you don’t make weight or don’t pass skin checks you won’t wrestle NO EXCEPTIONS. Spectators must sit in the upper bleachers and not with the team. If you want to talk/visit with your athlete they must come to you.
In previous years the tournament has NEVER started on time. This is a double elimination tournament depending on what round(s) you lost. Don’t assume that because you lost you are out. Please CHECK OUT with a coach before you leave.
No bus returning to Shahala on Thursday or Friday.

Entrance fee: $5 fee for adults, Middle and High students $3, children Elementary and lower are free, senior citizens free. NO CASH at the door, you may pay only through GoFan. Link will be posted later.

Concessions: They are available on site but wrestlers are encouraged to eat healthy food. If you’d like to donate food to the team we will gladly accept any donations.
